Overview
Towerland is a top-down shooter drawing inspiration from the well-known Binding of Isaac. It offers dozens of monsters to face, unlockable powerups, three separate game modes and three boss encounters.
On keyboard, WASD handles movement, the arrow keys fire, and P pauses play. With a gamepad, the left analog stick or D-pad moves your character, the right analog stick or XYBA buttons shoot, and Start/Menu pauses the action. The game loads through the standard GamePix HTML5 player, so no game files need to be fetched separately.
Gameplay and Experience
Move through each level, dodge dangers, gather helpful items, and push forward toward your next goal.
Controls
The aim is to clear every tile. Spin the 3D structure around to check what's stacked beneath the surface — bear in mind that tiles buried under others can't be picked yet. Tap any available tile to send it down into your tray at the bottom of the screen. Once three matching tiles land in the tray together, they merge and disappear, opening up space. Your tray, though, only fits seven tiles at once. If you get stuck, Undo lets you take back a move, Retrieve pulls up to three tiles back out, and Shuffle rearranges the board to reveal new matching options.
How to Play
The goal remains clearing all the tiles. Rotate the structure to examine its layers, remembering that covered tiles are off-limits until exposed. Selecting an eligible tile drops it into your tray; three identical tiles there will automatically combine and clear away. With only seven tray slots, lean on Undo, Retrieve, or Shuffle when things get tight.
Features
Expect colourful three-dimensional match puzzles, bite-sized stages built for quick sessions, and straightforward touch or mouse controls. The pacing stays relaxed at first before ramping up in difficulty. It plays instantly in the browser on both mobile and desktop, runs through the official GamePix HTML5 embed, and adapts its layout responsively across phones, tablets and desktops, with full touch support.
Tips and Tricks
Give the cube a full rotation before locking in your first match. Watch for clusters that open up further pieces once cleared. Slow your drag down when checking crowded corners for hidden tiles. If no match seems obvious, check the opposite face of the structure.
Why You Should Play
Towerland delivers a brisk adventure with a clear goal, built around short sessions you can repeat easily.
